Stop Kony! 2012.

I just watched this video.  I started a monthly donation.  I cried, and I will definately be doing an overnighter putting up posters with the rest of the army against Kony.  I can't believe this maniac has gotten away with kidnapping children, forcing little girls into sex slavery and little boys to be soldiers.  He has so much power he has children murdering their own parents!?  And WE, right now, right here, have the chance to spread the word and bring this beast to a stop.  Take the time to watch the video.

Putting up posters is spreading the word and showing our government that we care which is to going keep forces in africa who are assisting the african forces to bring him down, and meanwhile using the profit from these fliers and bracelets towards helping build schools and radio towers, fund search and rescues for the children, along with rehabilitation centers once they are rescued. Spreading the word continues the positive results. The volunteering I do locally doesn't reach out that far, and this is one movement that is impacting thousands of children and we do have a chance to do something, by reposting the video thats adding one more person to the list that could contribute.

The Lorax!

I had a wonderful weekend.  I stayed in Roy with my friends on Friday, then Saturday I moved to my co-workers for the month until my apartment opens up.  At my new place (for the month) we had a zombie fest!  Five freaking zombie movies that night, yeah I had nightmares if you are wondering.  Sunday I went back to Roy and visit a friend of mine who miscarried, then went to visit Frazee and Kyndra and we watched The Lorax!  SUCH a good movie!!!  Coincidentally, this Saturday is going to be my first day volunteering with Tree Utah and I am so excited!  I am also excited to be as independant as I have always been at heart.  I am proud of myself.  I saw this quote on the internet, I don't know who wrote it but I decided to play around on paint and this was the dull, though slightly pretty, result.  This, for today, is my motto.  :)

Welcome Home

"A thing is mighty big when time and distance cannot shrink it," -Zora Neale Hurston

This weekend my best friend of many many years returned to where we have all grown up.  We had a welcome home party for him and it was so great to finally get to give him a hug.  It reminded me that a true connection can never fade despite the time and despite the distance.

Time goes by so quickly though, and it really hurts me.  I don't know if everyone is affected quite as physically and pasisonately as I do... but I am.  The joy from my memories and the hurt from them fading further into the past physically hurt my heart.  If I could just make a wish and stop time, and bring every positive and happy moment of my life into that single moment on pause... I'd soak in it.  I'd soak in it like I do this photo... a perfect example of a collection of memories on pause. <3

Its Called Bipolar.

If I do have any followers, I appologize for my bipolor back and forth emotions.  I recently broke up with Tony, we lived together and the living situation is a bit painful.  My emotions resulted in the following.

Inferno 02/24/2011

The flames build up inside of me

To light loose ends on fire,

Then to set my life ablaze.

I'll watch it burn and glow

The light reflecting in my eyes

Its foolish fiersome flicker.

The smoke represents my hazy days -

The pain residing in my chest

Hurt whispering lost memories

The emptiness exploding,

So deep within my heart..

The smoke represents my hazy days.

Now I wish it'd fill my lungs

As I watch my life turn charcoal black

Crumbling around me,

Scalding chunks hit me as the fall

I wish the smoke would fill my lungs

To cease the fiersome flicker.

Loose ends have melted to extinction

The inferno wont consume me

Despite my deepest darkest wish

The inferno wont consume me...

Happy Valentines Day :)

There are a handful of legends regarding Saint Valentine but the most known story and the one most appealing on Valentines day is the legend telling of the priest Saint Valentine who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

Now a days the retail price of flowers and chocolate near double and the majority of people share in loneliness and envy, that is all Valentines day has to offer.  A sad change, but I love flowers none the less.

I personally have had a valentine almost every year of my life.  As a child my parents were my valentines, then in elementary school every other child in my class was, and once I hit puberty it wasn't too hard to have someone show me some kind pathetic heart shaped pink something on societys binge day.  This year... I have a valentine that I have unfortunately lost, and a secret that makes my heart flutter.
Maybe someday. <3

Bury The Castle - Paramore

Well here goes nothing, the wolf blew and now my castle is collapsing around me, my prince didnt really save me... and the clock is just now striking 12.

12 - by xXMBXx
"She lives in a fairy tale Somewhere too far for us to find Forgotten the taste and smell Of the world that she's left behind It's all about the exposure the lens I told her The angels were all wrong now She's ripping wings off of butterflies Keep your feet on the ground When your head's in the clouds Well go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Well go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Ba da ba da ba So one day he found her crying Coiled up on the dirty ground Her prince finally came to save her And the rest you can figure out But it was a trick And the clock struck twelve Well make sure to build your house brick by boring brick or the wolf's gonna blow it down Keep your feet on the ground When your head's in the clouds Well go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Well go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Well you built up a world of magic Because your real life is tragic Yeah you built up a world of magic If it's not real You can't hold it in your hand You can't feel it with your heart And I won't believe it Well if it's true You can see it with your eyes Even in the dark And that's where I want to be, yeah Go get your shovel We'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Go get your shovel We'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Ba da ba da ba..."

Willow Tree

I shouldn't have had coffee today.

It awakens my core.

Today I am filled with passion, unlike my grumpy ass yesterday.  I don't know what the difference is besides the coffee.. Frazee is coming to see me today.  It lifts up my soul, I enjoy his company.

Today I want my Willow Tree Tattoo.  A willow like my poem... hidden in the shadows of an old willow tree.. A willow like Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas.. A willow like the Womping Willow from my childhood friend Harry Potter... I want a strong passionate willow with twisted roots and low hanging limbs of emotion... I want a willow tree covering my left side reaching over my ribs and stretching onto my back.  It is a grand representation of who I am.  Here are some images that I might print off to inspire my tattoo artist to create a Willow that truly suits me.

A willow tree that is passionate like the happy go lucky, positive, caring, and damaged self that I am.  The Willow tree meanings includes magic, healing, inner vision and dreams. All trees support life, and I do love climbing trees...

I want a willow tree with delicate artistic leaves such as Grandmother Willow

With powerful roots holding on to what she's knows to be true

Clinging to her foundation, like such

With an overall demeanor of a calm loving place to meditate

A large eloquent beatiful Willow that embraces and guides life...

I'm excited, aren't you? :)
